Check Aero Precision. also put a .308 together pretty cheap like $800 ist dead solid accurate.
I bought a complete M5 lower (minus the stock, but had one for it) from them and found a complete upper from grid defense on sale. Bought a blem Aero charging handle and found a Brownell’s nitride bcg on sale too, all for around the same price. How did you build your’s ? just curious.

I know. I was talking about the cost of ammo, regardless of the platform. It’s become a major consideration when deciding on a longer-ranged AR, unfortunately.
Yeah they’re all pretty high. .300 blackout has gone down but it isn’t really a good long range round, same with 7.62x39. I’ve been giving the .350 Legend a good look here lately. Ammo is reasonable and it seems to be a pretty versatile round.

Just caught a complete lower and upper on sale a couple month apart then saved a little money got the nickel boron bcg and a aero charging handle nothing special just all Aero parts. Very happy with it.

I’m seeing quite a bit of 350 Legend ammo at Walmart along with 308 and 30-06 (but hardly anything else). I was interested in the Legend caliber till I found out it’s chiefly a hunting cartridge with ballistics somewhat akin to the 30-30 round. In other words, a shorter-ranged, heavier bullet with a big drop past 250 yards, and not a 500-yard plus target round.
