Because they magically turn into complete guns. These are on sale for very cheap and are still a very quality product. You never know when there's going to be another big rush and shortage. Also, they make great trade bait in the classifieds and for around $60 out the door can always get your money and then some back.

but if you have a lower and they ban the uppers because of bayo lug, and flash suppressor, etc then it will be worthless.

Upper parts will be all over the place but lowers will be impossible to find and they will bring top dollar

None of my ARs have a bayo lug and only one has a flash suppressor and its days are numbered.
