Question for a State Trooper

Morning,

If there are any Troopers on here, got a question for you. I you make a stop and there is a firearm (stolen) in the vechicle, where is it taken? County Sherrif's office?

Reason I'm asking, is because I believe I've located another of my stolen firearms via a document filed in OSCN. The guy that broke in was stopped the same day by OHP in Norman with a loaded Glock in his glovebox. Initially, this glock was incorrectly registered in NCIC, so I think it may have missed the check. I'm just trying to locate where it may be so I can check.

I'm not a State Trooper either, but when an arrest is made by a Trooper, the suspect is transported to the county jail in the same county where the offense/arrest occured.

When Troopers make an arrest they take the person to whatever county jail the arrest was made in like FireCop said. However, I know OHP has it's own evidence room because GC has gone with them to do disposals before, so I am not sure what happens to any weapons they are confiscated. Let me ask him when he gets up and around. Might be this afternoon as we had car trouble again yesterday so we are gonna have to deal with that this morning, but one of us will get back with you.
