Hey Tom can you give some more info on the shotgun class? I checked the website but it didn't give very much info. Is this LE oriented or more civilian/home defense? What all gets covered and what equipment is required?

Defensive shotgun is a full day of training on the most effective, but most misunderstood weapon in the Good Guy's arsenal. Students will learn to select and modify the shotgun for maximum utility; select the right ammo for the job; use proper handling and reloading techniques to keep the gun in the fight; and hit with the shotgun reliably, at speed. Students will fire about 100 rounds of birdshot, 50 rounds of buckshot, and 15 slugs in the class.

Students will fire about 100 rounds of birdshot, 50 rounds of buckshot, and 15 slugs in the class.

Cheech covered it pretty well. The course is geared specifically toward the homeowner of business owner, but the info applies to patrol officers with a shotgun for the patrol car. After the class you'll have a better understanding of the shotgun, and a solid foundation of skill with it.
