Repeat #4 with light brown.</p><p></p><p>Then to add-on:</p><p></p><p>7. Added more areas of light brown, then stenciled over them with crosshatched and stenciled dark green.</p><p></p><p></p><p>So basically, if I skip 3,4 & 5, I can start with solid light brown and stencil the darker colors over that. That is what seemed to look best, it seems to me. The dark green over black is barely noticeable from a distance. And the dark brown over black and dark green is barely even noticeable up close. So I think the light undercolor will help more than a black base.</p><p></p><p></p><p>And if it looks like *****, I just acetone it and start over, right?</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Actually, the most nerve-wracking part of it for me was the optic. I know it isn't fancy, but I spent like $175 on it, plus another $20 in the Butler Creek flip-ups. So I was worried about the knobs getting gummy or something like that. But I haven't tried it yet. I'll have to wait and see. On my 6.8 I was considering putting a cheap Buckmark I have on there to paint... but it's got low-low rings and I figure the FSP will obscure it, so I'ma need to get some higher rings or a mount first.</p></blockquote><p></p>
