This is from the summer. I have since sold the Elcan and replaced it with an Aimpoint M4. Damn, I miss that Elcan. Also I have taken off the suppressor/mount in favor of an A2 flash hider and replaced the SOPMOD stock with a CTR. Rear sight is now a Knights micro 600.
After I peeled all the Plasti-dip off I think it took a week. I sanded it with 220 grit, fixed some corrosion spots, masked it off, drove around town buying all the Krylon desert paint Oreilly's had, and then went to work.
Honestly I do not remember but touch up work from tree branches and rock chips takes about 2 minutes.
Nice Ride and some nice guns. I have been thinking of painting my gun to match my car paint. 5 cans of paint 3 hours time..Included 220 grit sand and wipe down with mineral spirits and mask off. Peeled off all the tape and paper at the 3 hour mark. The geo metro has 1/2 the surface area of that Hummer! Now to do my .308 or 30-06
