I got the thing set up and was giving it a test run and it started smoking after a couple minutes running. looks like the stator and rotor have been grinding on each other for years. Looking it over it looks like it was dropped at some point and it was knocked out of center. If they would have taken it apart ,I am pretty sure they could have bent the mounts back............. Says something about the quality of the build ,that it still runs... Pretty sure that re winding this is not going to fix it so have bought a new motor to run the machine while I source a period correct motor....
