so i have been interested in reloading my own ammo for some time now, but it seems that there are so many pieces of equipment you need, i have no clue where to begin. so if SOMEONE could please get me started in the right direction as to what tools and equipment I will need, and maybe a instructions manual or something so i dont screw it up!! I am starting from the ground up! i have nothing. thanks!!

Well depending on what you will be reloading kinda determines what kind reloading equipment you might need. Most people will say to start with a single stage press (which I did), but if you will only be reloading pistol calibers then I would say start with a turret press right off the bat. If you will be reloading some rifle calibers along with pistol I would start off with a single stage, check out the RCBS rockchucker it is a great press and gives you pretty much everything to get started with. If you are going to take the plunge and go right to progressive I would recommend a Hornady L-n-L AP press. Theres tons and tons of info to be had on the subject and really the first thing you should buy is a good reloading book, I really like one titled The ABC's of Reloading, tons of good info on about every aspect of reloading. After you squish your first few rounds out you'll be hooked. Also, might wanna post stuff like this in the ammo section, you'll probably get a few more looks at it.

definitely, do this. You will still have questions and need some guidance, but you will have a basic understanding of the process.

Looks like we need to put together a reloading basics / FAQ thread. Look around in this section danielkines, there's a lot of info here, and links to other sites/forums that have even more info.

Somewhere on my home pc I've got a reloading 101 in pdf.
I'll try to find it later tonite or tomorrow.

Best advice given so far is get a reloading manual and read it.
Most of your questions about what to buy will be answered in it.

Then come back to the ammo section for specific help.

Welcome to the insanity of reloading.......

I doubt you will find a manual in pdf that someone is willing to post. Just pony up and buy a manual. If you are serious about reloading, you will not regret it. And once you start reloading, if you really get into it, more is better.
