I was out playing with my muzzleloader yesterday, it's a stainless rem700 .50
Shot it about 10 times and it started having issues cocking. I pulled the bolt apart and cleaned it and it worked. Shot it two more times and had it about done, but on the last shot it fired when I took the safety off! I looked it over and didnt see anything but I couldn't get it to cock at all.
Once I got it home I cleaned it real good and it still wouldn't cock. The bolt looked good so I pulled the trigger off and a broken piece fell out. Not sure what the piece is, but it's a flat cast piece with a bend and hole. It broken through the middle if the hole.
I only have a few days to get this thing going again and I don't want to put a $230 trigger on a gun I only have $125 in. Anyone have any idea how to fix it (I can take pics if needed) or have a Rem700 trigger laying around?
