Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I bought this back around 1999. I've put a lot of rounds through it. I took it to the range last Sunday and everything was fine for about 25 rounds. Then the brass started ejecting more slowly, and finally the slide wouldn't cycle--it was stone-cold shut and would not budge. I made sure that there was not a live round in it and then took it home.

I used my borescope to check the chamber and I saw the brass still in the chamber. I finally got the brass out tonight after figuring why the slide was stuck. The barrel isn't dropping as the slide goes back. If I push the barrel down then the slide goes back.

I think that the recoil springs need to be changed. But I would appreciate any helpful input.

I am not an expert but I would try replacing the recoil spring too.
Thanks.

Looking at it some more, it looks like the guide rod retaining collar is missing, and the guide rod looks wonky when the pistol is viewed from the front. I will order a retaining collar and a set of springs, and then we'll see.

I would have to ssy...looks like either a broken slide stop pin, or camming lug on the bottom of the barrel...
I don't have a P95 to look at...maybe I can get a clue from my P85...

Joe
I think that the lack of a recoil collar retaining spring on the cam block is the problem. When the pistol is vertical, I can rack the slide back with no problem. If the pistol is tilted, then the slide will lock up. I belive that the cam block is getting out of alignment.

The P85 has a different recoil guide rod system, so I don't think that the two will compare.
