Ok so no luck finding just the lower... anyone have a complete 5" compact they'd be willing to part with?

Have you called Earl's repair service in Virginia? He is Walther Germany's authorized Armorer in the US. He also carries parts, including frames. Now, I've ordered from him before, and he's probably 100 years old, so you gotta have a little patience when you do. I think his wife works with him but they are super nice.
