They can't really do much to them as long as they forego using the trademarked names. I would doubt there is still an active patent to be infringed on with the 10-22.
Ford did the same a few years ago with the Mustang trademark. I believe most companies would just prefer to be paid licensing fees and go on down the road. The companies haven't been sued in a while and the on staff lawyers need to justify there paycheck. Just something to pad the bottom line.
