I’ve got a couple I’d like dated if anyone has the big book.

10-5 Serial # is C7830XX my mom bought it new sometime after my dad died, but I can’t remember the year. Probably hasn’t had 50 rounds thru it and spent its life in a sherpa pistol rug in her nightstand. I think I can find the original box, maybe. It will never be for sale, but I’d like to know a WAG as to date & value. I know they made over 6mm of them so I wouldn’t expect it to be worth very much.

681 no dash serial ABY51XX. Bought it from a fellow officer that switched to a P-89 back in the day. I carried it after he did. Pachmayr grips. No original grips. No box. For as much duty as it saw it is in remarkable shape. Also will never be sold, unless it’s at my estate auction.

Any help is appreciated!

The book says 63-65 on your 10-5 and maybe 1983 on your 681.
Point me to that! I'm only showing 1962

Thank you fellas!

I guess I’m misremembering on the K frame. Dad didn’t die until ‘72. I remember mom & I going to Murf’s in Duncan for her to get something for the house. I’d swear she bought it new, but if it’s 63-65 I doubt Clinton had it in that shop for that long. I was a little bitty guy so I might not be right in all that. Maybe she bought it before he died, or maybe she bought it used. Damn if I can remember.

I’d guess 400-500 value on each? Maybe? Nice old revolvers, but they’re nothing special.

Thanks again!

The 10-5 is fairly common and the 500ish range might be about right depending on condition. But the 681’s don’t grow on trees. I’d suspect it to be a hundred or two higher depending on condition and the buyer
