Did a little trading with Tommy at Sooner State Pawn this week and picked up this gem. I gave her an initial clean and lube, a spring job, added set of Hogue Goncalo Alves big butt grips, and a C-More red dot yesterday evening after work. Trigger was nice out of the box, but measured at 12 lbs DA and 4 lbs SA. With a Wolff standard power ribbed mainspring, 13 lb rebound spring, and standard length OEM strain screw (revolver came with extended length) the trigger is now sitting at 8.5 lbs DA and 2 lbs 10 oz SA. The comp will soon be replaced with the standard muzzle cap as soon as I'm able to widen the cap out from .364 to .448 as my brother did with his to prevent bullet strike. After some extended dry fire practice I've come the realization that I may to have to build up my forearms a bit...lol.

If you are going to shoot competition with it, just ditch the barrel caps altogether. They are good for catching crud tho. I'd machine the barrel back to cleanup and re-crown it. Congrats, on a great revo!

Agreed...the comp and cap only seem to get dirty and degrade accuracy on these guns. During the times that I've shot my brother's 929, the muzzle cap has just been removed prior to shooting and reinstalled afterwards. He recently widened his cap, but hasn't been able to test it out yet.

It's almost as if they were a last minute addition or an afterthought, the design is just too poor. And 9mm just doesn't have enough gas to make them work anyway. Otherwise it's a great gun, it just came along a little too late for me as I jumped to single stack when USPSA changed the rules to allow 8 shots before a reload. I have a killer 5" 625 in the safe doing nothing now. :(
