It is sad. I think the people there do want better for themselves, but when the whole system is broken, its going to be a tough road to change it.
Electing a few people not corrupted alone wont help, because they will be fighting an entrenched system. They need to throw all of them out and start over.
But its not just politicians, its aldermen, commissioners, police officer, government workers unions, etc. There are so many contributing to the problem its like trying to identify drops of water in the ocean.
