Safety tip: Ever get the late night munchies but forget to take your gun out of the oven?

I set timers when I do things like that to avoid situations like that
Why I’m not allowed in the kitchen anymore.
Never done that.
I did drop my 870 in the mud, while duck hunting. Got home and took it apart a day put it in the dishwasher.
Forgot it was there, when Wif and M-i-L came home. Heard M-i-L say she was going to unload dishwasher. I jumped to run in to kitchen, too late. She screamed. Bent over to open door and barrel is right between her eyes.
She wasn't happy, but did she wasn't surprised I would do it.
A marvelous job of cleaning, but I haven't done it again.

No but my mother one time hit $300 in the oven actually the broiler and burned it up took the ashes and stuff to the bank and got most of the money back.
A little cook off while cooking never hurt anyone.
