I'd like her if she didn't come off like such a complete moron. I appreciate MOST of the stuff she stands for. She's just such a.... well... moron.

I've got news for you Mr. Hannity; I started this thread, and I'm no where near left wing. If you knew me, you'd know that for a solid fact. I referred to you as "Mr. Hannity" because that's his M.O.: if you disagree, you must certainly be a liberal.

And for the record, I don't hate Palin; I hate that the media has somehow crowned her queen of the Tea Party - when she is really just a leech, getting full off of the popularity of the movement. I can't claim to disagree with many of her talking points, but, like most Republicans, all it is is cheap talk. I broke with the "R"s several years ago, when they basically left me. I now consider myself a "conservative independent". Screw both parties - there isn't a nickel's worth of difference between them.

Amen, and I'm with ya.

McCain just wanted to hit it after he saw the ****s. They both were told to quit if it looked remotely close. The handlers did not want the fallout.

And the rest is boolsheet.

It reminds me of something like 'Survivor' on a huge scale.

I completely agree with everything you said there. There are a few notable Republicans and talk show hosts that have latched onto the Tea Party Movement as if they were the leaders of the movement. When in reality they just realized that the tea party movement wasn't going away so they just hitched their wagons to the Tea Party and started acting like they have been there all along. And they are getting rich by charging huge fee's to speak at Tea Party events. If they really believed in the Tea Party they would speak for free or at least reduced rates. They are just a bunch of leaches that latched onto the Tea Party movement and are trying to suck as much political popularity and money out of it as possible before they kill it.

You are pretty much on the mark but not totally. Many are speaking for free at Tea Party events.

As for Palin, I do not agree with her on everything but she scares the crap out of the Dems and that is always a good thing.

The funny thing about last night to me is that like several other primaries the one backed by the Tea Party beat the person backed by the GOP so much so that the GOP threw a fit this morning, but the left and uninformed will still try to claim the GOP has taken over the Tea Party. In fact the Tea Party is slowly working to take over the GOP.

Rick, I'm big enough to admit when I am wrong. And I was wrong.

The GOP hasn't totally co-opted the TP.

That was proven yesterday when the GOP sponsored robocalls to attack one of their own primary candidates, Christine O'Donnell.
And for what? Because they don't think she can win in November and the Most Important Thing to the 'establishment' is WINNING; gaining and KEEPING Power.
NOT principles.

Now, when these new candidates are sworn in(assuming they win their elections of course) is another matter.

The same establishment will see that they are assigned to unimportant committees that don't effectively control legislative agendas.

Wait and See :hot:

She's too polarizing, and that's not something that we need right now.

You're giving her too much credit. How the hell is she polarizing? She a mind numbing, unoriginal, self-promoting attention whore. Also known as a "politician".

Now, put Veggie Meat or Glocktogo in office....now you're talking polarizing. :D :D

And that IS what we need right now. "Moderate" is next to "spineless" in my thesaurus (mausermike wrote my thesaurus). What the hell is a moderate anyways? The quasi-socialist economic policies of the democrats and the intrusive, theocratic, moral minority garbage of the republicans all mixed into one? Those are not good ingredients for a pie.
