First range report: The .308 is not a hard kicking round anyways and with the muzzle brake and thick pad shooting 30 rounds today was not the least bit uncomfortable. My 30-06 and a stiff recoil pad gave me an irritating flinch reflex but at the end of 30 rounds today I wasn't even blinking when the round went off. I really like the Accutrigger- alot. With the cheap 150gr Remmy UMC it was grouping 3/4 to 1" at 100 yards at Happy Hollow today (that geezer on the PA is really funny). I need to get my hands on some quality ammo and see what this thing will do. The DBM fed smoothly every time and I discovered that these nice people http://www.sharpshootersupply.com/ make aftermarket extensions for my magazine to increase the capacity to 9 rounds so if I want higher capacity I don't have to spend a small fortune on bottom metal and AI mags. eta: I really thinked the factory goofed, I ordered the plain jane 10FP and I think they sent me a 10 BAS-K action http://www.savagearms.com/10bask.htm in the Accustock because the barrels on my rifle and the 10 BAS-K are identical from the fluting to the muzzle brake. The stock/barrel passed the dollar bill test with plenty of clearance all the way around. I am really liking this rifle so far.
