Savage Springfield 187N .22 semi Scope and mount

Looking for suggestions, ideas and information on where I might look for a scope and/or mount for a Savage Arms Springfield .22 semi-auto model 187N. This rifle is about 50 years old, so there's not a lot of information out there, at least that I can find. Any ideas would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

Depends on the rifle. Does yours have the dovetail grove on the receiver or just a couple of screw holes on the side of it? Or maybe neither of these?

Also, I'm curious. How well does yours work with Standard or High Velocity 22lr? These are notorious for only working reliably with low power 22lr (Like CCI quiet) or 22 shorts.

It has slots similar to those in your photo, but there are only 2 and they are larger than those shown. Also, it works best with standard velocity .22 LR rounds, as the longs and shorts tend to jam when fired rapidly. I haven't tried to fire any high velocity rounds through it. Given it's 50+ years old, I'm guessing it wouldn't handle them.

I got the pics tonight. These both have the dovetail rail on the top of the reciever.

Does yours have the dovetail rail? If so any 3/8 dovetail rings should work.

It is identical to the lighter stock you have pictured. The safety is behind the barrel, rather than on the side.
