SBR question.

Looking at a Wilson Combat SBR today at H&H. Sales guy mentioned that I would have to wait 6-7 months to take ownership b/c of the class 3 approval. I realize that I would have to pay the $200 tax stamp.

Question is?

If I bought a SBR privately, would I I have to go through the 6-7 month approval/background check? I realize that I still have to pay the $200 tax stamp if buying privately.

Educate me please.

Same process.
6-7 months may be a conservative estimate with the current gun paranoia.

Yep, can't get around the wait time. I'm on month 4 for my SBR build. Hopefully will get a response within the next 2 months.
