"A Florida school resource officer is facing charges after deputies say he pawned off his school-issued gun and other security items multiple times.
Leroy King, 36, was a school resource officer at Mango Elementary School in Seffner. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister announced his arrest on Friday."

Sheriff says the man's supervisor stopped by for a random check and saw the security guard had a pellet gun in his holster instead of the firearm he was issued.
Sheriff said security guard gave multiple stories, but investigation revealed he had pawned his issued pistol and body armor six times since the school year began.
He's been charged with making false statements to a pawnbroker.

(INTERESTING NOTE -- In the video, the sheriff says the man had to leave a fingerprint to pawn the items; don't know if that's local ordinance there, or a state law in Florida ??? Is that just for firearms, or to pawn anything at all ???)

Way back when, I had a Polaroid camera that I'd hock every month for a while. We'd run out of money for son's formula toward the end of the month. Always bought it back, but it was a regular thing for several months.
It was yours, though, right? It didn't belong to the government agency you worked for?
