I know guys that have leases in south TX, and it’s an “adventure” just going to their deer stands in the mornings. Finding evidence of illegals sleeping in box stands is a regular occurrence. Their campers and cabins get broke into regularly.

In the late 80’s and early 90’s, my Dad, brother, and I got invited to a friend’s ranch between Cotulla and Dilley a few times, and even then, they left canned goods outside their cabin to hopefully keep the Mexicans from breaking in.

Hunting south Texas brush country was fun and has big bucks, but there’s no way I’d have a lease down there under current conditions.

I have a friend that bought a section SE of Crystal City in '88. He was building up a pretty good hunting service.

By '00, he couldn't go work the place, by himself. Everything was broke into and tore up. Several times, stands had people sleeping or hiding in them.

He would leave the cabin/house unlocked, nothing but can goods. They tore it apart. He was working inside, had his truck stolen, twice. They ended up burning the house and several acres. He sold the place in '01.

These illegal invaders are not the same category of people as the "wetbacks" of the '60s & '70s.

I grew up in west Texas, eastern NM and lived on the Gulf Coast, south of Houston. Lived, worked, hunted, fished, friends will many "wetbacks". Mostly good people, hard working, trying to take care of family. The trouble makers were there offspring and then the prison releases and drug cartels of the last 30 - 40 years. The "wetbacks" hate them, too.

I can say that I am not a fan of W and what he did that you are talking about. That said it is not migrating field workers that I am talking about. The entire world uses Mexico as a way to illegally enter our country. Every day border patrol is taking people from about every nation in the world. It’s no longer just Mexicans that we have to worry about. It is the Mexicans and their cartels that are being paid to let these people cross our border. Aside from W trying to give amnesty to fieldworkers it has been the Democrats ever since Reagan preventing the wall from being built, preventing the illegal flood that we have. The approximate 40 million illegals residing in the United States, Democrats not W are the ones that have caused this to our country. Make no mistake, this has been an invasion. And to say democrats are not 99% responsible would be laudable

There’s another thread talking about something similar to this. I said if I was president, I would declare war on Mexico. This is unacceptable. Tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of Americans die every year because of illegals that come through that country. Astronomical as in millions of counts of crime is committed by these people every year, Billions of dollars are wasted through various services because of these people. Social Security and identities are stolen, auto hit and runs through the roof, Wages on Americans are suppressed by undercutting our jobs. It infuriates me to no end

While at a "annual work meeting" last week, one of our drive team members spoke of being down in Mexico and coming back from there. When it was mentioned about Central Americans coming across Mexico to get to the U.S. border, he stated that they didn't see ANYONE walking the roads, but there were a lot of white buses being used to transport those "migrants" to Mexico's northern border.

My only question would be is it the government providing the buses or is it the cartels?

It has to be a combination of both. Mexico doesn’t want any of these people in their country because it is a financial burden.

The large cartels are making major bank on this. Every head that crosses is paying. And if they don’t have it, they have to work it off. Modern day human trafficking. Could be them expediting the crossing for a payday and the perks of unlimited mules.

All to come into our country for financial gain. Not to come and assimilate to become part of our republic. Leeches looking for a payday. And it’s a major payday for criminals

I have recently talked to a person that is living in an isolated area in South Texas and assisting LE personnel. The person has been helping retro fit dragoons into armored personnel carriers. A 50 cal is mounted on top and gun ports are being added for riflemen to use to snipe from. These, apparently, are being used instead of police cars which are being shot up and destroyed. The person said that the area is a war zone and law enforcement are being attacked regularly.
