Screw drivers set for guns?

I'm looking for a good set of screw drivers to work on guns. I have pistols, rifles, and some old shotguns that if I need to remove a screw I don't want to jack it up with a standard tapered sloted screw driver. Alos looking for a set of long pin punches and pin starters.

Which set of screw drivers did you get?

I got a set of hollow-ground screwdrivers and other gunsmithing tools from Midway. Not cheap, but being able to find a screwdriver bit that fits a screw slot exactly so you don't bugger the screw, is worth the price.

Midway ... a good starter set of interchangable screw driver bits will run less that $30... especially when they run on 'sale'.

Punches, drifts, small hammers... Sears has a lot of this stuff... sometimes a good auto parts (like a NAPA) will have tools. I have found a lot of smaller "jewlers" tools and some things that work for gunsmithing at Harbor Freight and now an then a guy at the gunshow brings a bunch of dental tools and things like that to sell.

They don't have to be "Gunsmith's" Screwdrivers in my experience. Screwdrivers or screwdriver bits just need to be the hollow-ground type and fit the slot on the screw exactly. I just use my craftsman and the large assortment of bits that came with it. I have used a file or bench grinder on bits to get the exact size I need.

Ill second midway, they are good and I havent had a single problem with any tool I bought from them, hearing good things about Brownell to but dont have any firsthand experience.

I bought a set from Academy, called B-Square. Full size nut driver with replaceable tips (30). All contained in a plastic case. $20 Has worked very well.
