So, it comes out that he didn't have an AR, so now the lefty news is trying to spin that "he tried to buy an assault rifle, but he was turned down" as a success story for background checks....oy....

Well. they are also portraying him in a sympathetic light; as a person who repeatedly sought help for mental issues and was denied. The insinuation, though veiled, is that it's society's fault, for not getting him help. There is scathing criticism on how he was granted a security clearance and allowed to legally purchase a firemarm.

Wonder if Piers is going to publicly admit he was wrong in his VEHEMENT tirade about an AR15... guessing not. It'll be a snide little comment about how it doesn't matter, he still got a shotgun.

So the question seems to me... reporter in that link says he bought the shotgun but they would not sell him the AR. Any more info to support that you guys have seen? And why would that be?

Well, Barry0 has called for revisiting the background check issue (despite the fact that the murdering SOB passed the background check to buy his shotgun), but Harry Reid said there aren't the votes in the Senate to take up the issue.

So have y'all heard about this new assault weapon that is even more deadly than the dreaded AR-15? It uses high capacity shells, with as much power as 3 or 4 assault rifle rounds, and fires multiple projectiles (potentially hundreds!!!) with every shot. We have banned full autos for the children, so why are these instruments of destruction still allowed to be sold in sporting goods stores across the nation?!?!
