Is there anything or process to shrink cartridge loops on pistol belt??

Belt is made for 44s but held 41's tight at one time. BUUUT.... In my youth I took the belt and used it for .410s and toted my tc contender on it. They have seemed to stretch out now and find my self carrying my 41 more in the woods these days.

Lost cause or should I get a new belt? It not fancy or expensive a triple k brand. If can't shrink em guess gotta get a 44 or 45 colt pistol next!

Anything to do to preserve or prevent damge to the leather after water and heat?
How much water and what kind of heat? I have a holster I would like to stiffen up a bit.

I couldn't comfortably give you any specifics, but there is a lot out there on dampening leather and either letting it sit in the sun to shrink or using artificial methods. Drying out the leather is a big concern, so be sure to not over do it on the application of heat. Good leather oil is always good.
