We got to go out and watch one of our grandsons compete today. He placed 2nde I believe in individual category at Navjo school Jackson County. So he came up today to OKC Gun club to compete on state finals. We are proud of him for sure.
Congrats to him! And to you proud grandpa. I got the email for a workday request to help today. Couldn’t make it but what an awesome day to shoot some skeet.
Yes it was a beautiful day. We loved watching these young folk shoot. There were some very talented shooters there. We love to encourage them.
Congratulations to the grandson. That looks like OWDC‘s setup. Did they supply the traps and shooting stands? Also, did the kids shoot Skeet or was all the shooting from the station stands? Shooting from the stands at “flying away” targets would be more similar to Trap shooting. Skeet shooting is mostly crossing targets thrown from a high house and a low house.
I was talking with my son today about that. He said it was trap shooting. We both agreed that it’s came a long way since when we started. Still very interesting though.
