That was in reference to the rancher's killer, not the driver. The driver was suspected to be drunk....

Drunk driving is certainly a problem there, and here as well. Everywhere in the US, for that matter.

Same thing crossed my mind. The coyotes(human traffikers) could be exacting a little more revenge. They could have done the deed and thrown the old man in the car to take the wrap. Never heard if there were any witnesses to the "accident".

Yeah! Its called getting drunk and getting behind the wheel and driving! DUI punishment needs to be tougher. As far as I'm concerned if you do it and hit an harm, or kill someone you should be charged with attempted murder or murder.
