Didn’t we do this already with the PMR-30 that .22WMR is anemic out of a pistol?
And at the prices of .22WMR we should just be using 9x19?

I wouldn't call it anemic for a rimfire round. Some loads, like the CCI Maxi-Mag 30gr, will get over 1500fps out of a 5" barrel. Certainly not "the most powerful handgun in the world" but that's not too shabby for a rimfire. I love .22 mag guns. They're fun to shoot. I happen to have a sufficiently large stash so I won't need to buy any more for a long time.

Here's a chart using a 4.3" barrel:

Yeah, it's gonna be pricey with the MSRP being the better part of $700. I was looking at one of the Walther WMP pistols...but too many people have problems with it. Walther seems to have lots of issues with their rimfire pistols. Their little P22 was a basket case when it first came out.

I have the Kel-Tec pistol and carbine and get a kick out of both of them.

GlockPride is right, tho...ammo is pretty pricey for a rimfire gun. It always has been.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. ~154 Ft lbs of energy. Not great for SD or bears, but definitely good for woods walking.
