The secondary lacks talent and they were playing Baylor. They didn't know WHAT to do. They only lost by thirty something points. What's the big deal?
Baylor is pretty good, but they've done it all year, and they've really gotten burned by it on 3rd downs. They'll work hard to get the other team in 3rd and long, then utterly fail at keeping them on the short side of the sticks when it counts.
I understand the bend but don't break style of defense, but if your rushers aren't putting any pressure on the QB (and it didn't take opponents long to figure out that Striker and Alexander are pretty much it on that front), you have to do something to break up the timing of his passes--and you can't really do that if you're starting more than five yards from scrimmage...
