This thread calls for one of my favorite scenes in movie history.
My favorite would probably be my own fries. 60 year-old cast iron dutch oven, open flame, copious amounts of oil heated to match lighting temps. Sprinkled in a bit of sugar a la Gomer Pyle. Sometimes I'll leave about half teh peel on each tater when peeling, but other times I peel them nekkid. Depends on my mood.
Technically not deep fried, but fried potatoes covered in gravy is second runner up. Goes well with chicken fried backstrap for dinner, or any artery-clogging meal I can scratch up for breakfast (such as bacon and half a thick-ass rib eye charcoaled the night before and chunked and fried in bacon grease with an omelet and a mason jar of chocolate milk that you make first and put in the freezer while cooking).
If I ever start gaining weight, I'm screwed.
