Coming back from lunch about 30 minutes ago I look over to the runway at the plane taking off and realize it's a Southwest commercial aircraft.

I've worked out here for almost 6 years and I've never seen a commercial aircraft landing, landed, or taking off. Just wondering if anybody knows why it was here?

My only guesses are mass military personnel transport (even though I thought the Air Force had their own planes for this?) or taking off after an emergency landing.

I know that the commercial airports have reliever airports in the nearby area for crowded or emergency landings, but Wiley Post is the reliever for OKC (and Jones for TUL). I wouldn't think they would hit up a military site for this.

But I guess anything is possible. You've got me curious as well.

That's about the right time, so I imagine that's her.

Crazy little site you found there.

Thanks!

If you travel for business like I do, that site quickly becomes invaluable. You can see delays and updated flight times before the goons at the gate bother to get on the PA and announce them to you.
