Springfield XDS .45 or Glock 36

I picked up a XDS from Mark at Sooner Guns yesterday and went to the range today. I've never fired the G36 so cannot compare firing the two but I have carried a G27 and G23. For CCW I have always found it bothersome to find a good place to carry the spare double-stack magazine (two is one, one is none?). That being said the XDS, after 300 rounds today, is accurate, reliable (one failure to fire was a hard primer), controllable for quick follow up shots, easy to conceal and I can drop the spare 7 round mag in my left front pocket. The XDS also fits in a tuck-able holster in my waistband better than a double stack Glock or the M&P 40c I have been carrying. All are fine weapons just some are easier to carry in shorts and a tee.

The Glock feels better in my big hands, but my XDs is noticeably thinner and easier for IWB, or pocket carry. Both are great guns.

I think the XDs is a better concealed carry gun but it has not been out that long to work out all the bugs
