I love Glocks, and I wish they made a slim .45 or 9/40. As far as width, the XDs is much more slim than the G36. I carry one daily on my Looper Pocket BUG.

The grip on the XDs is shorter than the G36. But for me, this is not a target gun that I will be shooting 1000's of rounds through a year. As long as I can get some sort of grip on the gun, I'm good. It is meant to be easily concealable, and a long or full sized grip makes that much harder to conceal.

As long as you don't get a lemon, the G36 fits the majority of men well enough to be considered if you're in the market for a single stack 45 ACP carry gun.

Not a ton of info on the XDS yet.

Sell them both and look into the m&p models...changeable backstraps.
Or just go with the g30.its got room in the grip

FWIW, the XDs has an interchangable back strap. The Shield apparently does not.

One thing the XDs has over the G36 and especially the G30 is a significant difference in concealability.

True on the XDS, hadnt thought about that.
g30 hides pretty well for me , its a little fat...but 10+1 of 45, I kinda like
