I have acquired a few 6.5 carcano rounds and I noticed they all have a weird stamp on the primer. I’ve never seen this before.

Remember awhile ago when their state government tried to pass a law that handguns sold in California-NTM required firing pins to be designed so that they would micro-stamp the primer with identifying info about the gun? - Hmmm, makes 'ya wonder how far that requirement spread.

I read NP was what Norma did back in the day on their primers.
Norma Precision.
Remington used HF for leadless.
Magtech used CR for Clean Range.

You may have googled and found that though.

Pretty cool though.
No I been building a transmission tonight. Hadn’t researched them at all. Thank for the info.

Pretty sure the NP for Norma Precision doesn't apply to newsom's bullsh*t.
Probably, but in my time I've fired a LOT of ammo in various calibers from several manufacturers, and NONE of them ever had primer markings. Is that some sort of new thing these days with ammo producers, or is the 'primer marking' thing being test marketed for future acceptance by the peasants?
