Kinda like if there was an airplane crash exactly on the border between Canada and the US. where would the survivors be buried?

If you want to fix that, change the units to pounds and the metal to gold. A pound of feathers actually weighs more than a pound of gold because not all pounds are the same: precious metals are measured in Troy ounces and feathers (and pretty much everything else) are measured in avoirdupois ounces. A Troy ounce weighs slightly more than an avoirdupois ounce, so an ounce of gold weighs more than an ounce of feathers, but a Troy pound is 12 Troy ounces and an avoirdupois pound is 16 avoirdupois ounces. When you convert them to grams, the Troy pound comes to just over 373g, but the avoirdupois pound comes to over 453g.

You ought to try and explain a pound of honey is 12 ounces. For those that don't know, it's 12 fluid ounces of honey equals 1 lb. That would be honey with an average of 17% . moisture.
