Taurus today introduced the GX4, a micro compact 9mm striker fired pistol assembled in Bainbridge, GA. The pistol is single action striker fired, 18.5 oz and 1 in. wide, with a 3 in. barrel, 11 round standard magazine, swappable backstraps, and an innovative takedown system to reduce snagging. 13 round magazines are available, as are holsters from three different manufacturers, including Mission First Tactical, Crossbreed, and UM Tactical. Sights are interchangeable.
What's interesting is what Taurus didn't include in the gun. There's no double strike capability and no manual safety, Taurus relying on the trigger safety only. I believe this is due to the guns being assembles in the U.S. instead of Brazil.
Best part? The MSRP is $392.
