Which model do you chaps recommend and why?
How’s the trigger?
Would you shoot it In friendly competition with buddies?
Any and all recommendations on added mods too.

I’m Interested. Was looking at a 400$ Sig Saurer but everyone is raving about this pistol

FYI for anyone with the a new TX22. I submitted my rebate claim for the 3, 16-round magazines on Jun 1st. They said it would take 8 to 10 weeks to be processed.

I got a rebate code today...under 2 weeks. The process is a bit different from a traditional rebate and may be confusing...it was to me. They give you a link to the 3-pack of magazines and a promo code. Click on the link and add the mags to your cart. Go to checkout (you may need to create an account for checkout). Enter the code into the box that says "Coupon"...you'll have to manually enter...copy/paste doesn't work. It should remove any amount due. Then you have to choose a shipping method (FREE) before it will allow you to submit the order.

The process isn't explained well at all.
If it's like mine, they will take the ENTIRE 10 weeks so be patient.

There are 2 generations of the gun now. The Gen 2 just came out a few months ago and it has some minor improvements. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the Gen 1...it's a great gun and will likely be substantially less expensive considering the low price of the gun as it is.

I owned the Gen 1 for a little over a year and it was simply fantastic. 100% reliable with all ammo I tried in it. I how have a Gen 2 (the standard gun) and it's the same. I haven't fired a compact or competition model so I can't speak to those, but I'm assuming the level of reliability would be the same.

For a sub $300 gun for the standard model I don't see how you can go wrong.

I paid $299 total for my Gen 2 and that amount included tax, title, license and dealer prep. Worth every penny. Oh, yeah. Also included 3 free 16-round magazines as a rebate. That's about a $75 value. You get one 16-round and 1 22-round mag with the new Gen 2 gun.

Here's a link in the steals and deals. KYGUNCO still has really good deals plus rebate until end of July. https://www.okshooters.com/threads/psa-taurus-tx22-deal-today-rebate-for-3-magazines-229-99.381087/

My wife allowed (she has never told me no just FYI, in case she ever gets on here) to buy a TX22 when you couldn't find ammo for 9 mm or .40 S&W during Covid.

It was the first .22 pistol she shot since she tried my Mark IV. She didn't like the Mark IV, but the TX22 she loved!

The TX22 doesn't appear to be finicky with ammo, pretty easy to clean, and takes some abuse. I am looking forward to trying out the suppressor adapter if my .22 hushcan ever gets out of jail. I really like it, and am considering getting an optics ready slide for it, or tricking it out in other ways. Maybe just get another.

I don't know if mine is a Gen 1 or 2 but I bought it (ordered in) from Atwoods and picked it up April 25th for $313.20 OTD.....I did the warranty registration online the same day I picked it up but didn't see anything that mentioned a rebate or free mags.

Good looking gun and feels good in my hand but I still haven't got off my butt and taken it to the range yet.
