Here is the problem on this forum, as I see it, when it comes to any subject related to education. A few people are actually discussing the education system, a few people are still upset at their teachers from 20 yeas ago, a few people are upset at their kids' teachers because they have failed as parent, a few are upset because there are some really bad teachers in our profession, but most people just do not care for taxes and government. When you attempt to answer one persons question, someone else will jump in and try to twist what you said because it does not fit their agenda. The target keeps moving because most of the time you are never actually discussing the education system. As an example, a couple of weeks ago we were trying to have a real discussion about making schools safe, when one of the main members jumped in with insults about how much teachers get paid, then others piled on. I am guilty of doing the same thing, when one of the members in this thread just jumped in with "fire them all." I insulted him, then he wanted to have a debate, so I insulted him again because their was no reason to try to have a debate, he made that clear in his first post. by the way, that will get you put in in-house suspension for 24 hours. Just remember, we all want more members because it adds to the conversation. So, when you respond to one member and others jump in, they may not be having the same discussion you are having because they have a different agenda.
