So as I hit play on the DVR, I was surprised to see the firing pistols back in the opening sequence of Sherlock Holmes. I thought to myself "Hey, maybe the world is getting backto normal"

Then I hit play on Hawaii 5-0... Only to watch an hour of "guns kill people", "gun stores are a killing zone", "gun dealers are the lowest form of life", "that poor dead drug dealer was set up"... I love this show, but this last episode was just a little hard to watch

I transferred from Hawaii after being stationed there 12 years, my family and I could no longer handle the overly restrictive firearms laws, registration, etc. Countless bills have been introduced to include confiscation of firearms. The CCW permit system is basically a defacto ban, the chief of police decides who gets one. There is currently a lawsuit in the 9th district court against him for this filed by the Hawaii Defense Foundation. (www.thehdf.org).

Hawaii has in my opinion become a dump full of meth heads and homeless persons. There are literally camps full of homeless people on the West side of Oahu (AKA the blue tarp nation) that have taken over public beaches, parks, and sidewalks. Nothing better than being out on the beach and getting to observe a homeless person shitting and pissing at the same time right there in public, but you can't walk your dog on the same beach.

Guess this is what happens when you break off from Kommieforniastan and drift west.

My $.02

I love watching 5-O but I reached the same conclusion last night. It was just sickening to me to hear the blathering on and on and on about how guns are so bad. This whole friggin world has gone bizzarro.

I haven't watched the show since they completely sold out to the advertisers in the second (I think it was second) season. The "in your face" in-show ads were just too much; the constant Chebbie beauty shots, the "Bing that" scene for Windows Phone, the umpteenth overt product placement in each episode... I think the ad, err, "scene" with the bug guy going on about Subway sandwiches was the final straw. I just turned the channel and didn't go back.

Dang! I'm glad I never got into that show. Most of my tv viewing is on Netflix. On season 3 of 24 now.
