Republicans have threatened to do the same thing after the democrats get the filibuster rule eliminated in the US Senate. Should republicans that fail to show to keep the US Senate from having a quorum, and therefore not able to vote on legislation that they can win with 50 votes and the VP, be fired too ?

McConnell says that is what they will do if the filibuster rule is changed. So, what's the difference ?

One distinct difference is that Republicans have only threatened to walk out, while DimocRats have actually done so! If Dims set the precedent, then Republicans following/obeying that standard would only be a logical result.

Nothing will happen to them at all. They are not breaking any laws.

Oh, yes they are breaking a law! They damnably-well ARE breaking their oath of office, which is felony perjury! The headache is finding a (rare) district attorney with the underwear content to actually prosecute the crime... but a crime it certainly is, nonetheless.

Getting it all wrong. Arrest them in DC and obstruct extradition to Texas.
Maybe a flight to Angola or Ghana could be arranged.

Good idea, but take it a bit further. Have the Texas attorney general (or the individual district attorneys from the DimocRats' areas) formally charge the hiding DimocRats with felony perjury. Then send a Texas Ranger team ('special ops' version, if necessary) to apprehend fleeing fugitives. AND hire a whole raft of private bounty hunters all across the country to also go after the fugitives. Whatever it takes!

What do you think will happen to Lindsey Graham and other republicans who won't attend the US Senate, denying a quorum in the Senate, when they bring up the vote on eliminating the filibuster and the $5 billion reconciliation bill ?

IF nothing happens to the DimocRats who set the precedent (who are first to deny a quorum), then nothing damned-well BETTER happen to Republicans who simply follow the standard that the Dims set!!!!

What law are they breaking ? What part of their oath of office are they breaking and show a law that says your judgement about how they apply their oath of office is breaking a federal perjury law?

There needs to be news outlets, not conservative or liberal news outlets. just report the facts and leave ones opinion out of it.

News outlets since their beginning have published opinions along with the news. The current news outlets have blended both together and shunned one of the primary reasons for first amendment protection, acting as the 4th estate to help check the actions and power of government.
