We used to look past these things and find common ground. But it's not only politics that divide us. What do we have in common with people in the northeast or in Southern California? We think differently, we work differently, we have different values, different outlooks on what family consists of, on education, etc. Maybe we've crossed a threshold somewhere in the past 50 years that the gap in our differences has become too wide. If we find that we're a different people altogether, then maybe it's time we formed a different nation.</p></blockquote><p></p>
