[QUOTE="clk1019, post: 1987754, member: 15265"] I love this thread... warning, I don't do grammar well, and I even have problems with spelling, oops deal with it. At this point, and it may change who knows, my opinion of the petitions is simple. A group of people, angry and disillusioned or possibly feeling alone in their little piece of this world have found a way to prove to themselves that they are not, in fact, alone in their little piece of this world. With every "signature" those who created, or have previously "signed" are shown that there are others who feel the same way. I do not believe they were ever intended to do anything more than say to the public at large, "I'm saying something important" and then wait for others to bolster their own self confidence. At least it wasn't said with a sniper rifle, or a big truck in front of a federal building. I also salute them for finding a way to feel a part of a process that causes no harm to others. Our country was conceived, at a very basic level, in much the same way. (Conceived, not forged and hardened) I also believe that in no way any of those who started, or signed the petitions would agree with my opinion. oops they can deal with it... until or unless several things change for the "much worse" instead of being "worse" than "the good old days" we still have the glorious honor of calling ourselves the "United States of America"... Back to loving this thread... up north here, a few years back, a group of protesters were detained for protesting protesters... some of you should not think about that too much as it will cause great pain others should enjoy the laugh you know which you are so I will let you decide for yourself if you are offended reading this thread reminds me of that day... carry on... that is all...
