It is the gun grabbers way of trying to get gun registration. The complaint is that you can go to a gunshow and buy a gun without a background check. A lot of states like ours doesn't require a back ground check for a private sale. There are a lot of private sales at gun shows and the grabbers don't like it.
Trying to get all sales to include a back ground check does several things. It is a form of tax because the proposed laws include a fee for the check which should be free anyway. Our taxes already pay for them.
The grabbers want to make all gun sales known to the government and making the check required is the first step to a federal gun registration.
Like all guns law ideas started by a Dimocrat the whole purpose is to restrict sales and make it harder to buy a gun. They have the foolish notion that harder to buy =fewer guns=less crime. There is no way that the fools can fathom that a criminal will ignore the gun check.
I guess that if it passes that I will be a criminal because I will only sell a gun after that to some one that won't do the check. Wait I typoed. I mean that won't fail the check.

Double on that. Very good explanation. There really is not one, but gun grabbers like to say there is.
Ask any liberal about the "gun show loophole" and how they want to close it then bring up birth right citizenship and the how that loophole needs to be closed and see their reaction. I love to prove how hypocritical liberals are.
There is no such thing as a gun show loophole. It is a term fabricated by the anti's to make something legal sound like it should be illegal.
