Twice married, both wives had kids from previous marriages, both wives let the kids run amok while I was only wage earner supporting them, first was 10yrs, second was on rebound and only 3yrs, both left after my nagging, and all the kids ended up total losers. Haven't bothered trying again and too damned old now to even consider such.
Rentals are much less trouble I've heard.
Doing without is zero trouble, zero expense, and can do or get anything I please without worry or concern for anybody but my dog and cat.

I’ll bet baptist, because the methodists I know are legalistic at church but pretty liberal otherwise.
IDK - my first wife was Catholic and her parents pretty near disowned her for marrying a non-Catholic. Refused to come to the wedding, refused to let her little brothers come also. Absolute nuts.
