Good job! Sounds like a challenging course...can you give us a run down of your gear? What you carried, what you wish you'd left behind, and wished you'd brought?

Well lets see.

What i carried in my pack:

240 rounds M885 in mags
170 rounds 9mm ball mags
50 feet 1/2" rope with D-ring
13 feet 1/2" rope (emergency Swiss seat) also for hauling gear up and over obstacles.
Small grappling hook
Alpine Aider.
Folding saw
Cold Steel Bushman's Knife
Snacks: Raisins, nuts, cliff bars, energy gels, etc...
IFAK
Meds: Goodies, Ant-Acids, Neosporin, Bandaids, etc...
TP and Baby wipes
Tarp
Rain gear
Stainless Canteen
Water, 4 liters
MSR H2O filter
Flash light
Snake Bite kit
Vertical grip for AR
Extra socks
Sling

In my Butt pack. Front carry:

Swayer mini filter
Mora Knife
Small Becker neck knife
More snacks
Electrolyte tabs
Batteries
Paper and Pen
550 para
Vortex monocular
More meds and bandaids
Lighter
Solid fuel

On my belt:

Glock 19
2 30 round AR mags
1 15/17 round Glock mag
Dump pouch
Multi-tool
Folding knife

I didn't need anything to complete the tasks.

I'll have a real compass next time and not rely on my watch.

I would have brought more on the bonus list.

I carried WAY more ammo than needed. Could have gotten by with half.

I may have missed a few items.

Thanks for the awesome review Dawg, and great job completing the course. Sounds like a great (but exhausting) time. I have a lot of respect for the guys who organize something like this too... I know how much work it is to organize the Pawnee Run 'n Gun, and this sounds many times more elaborate.

It sounds like you did really well... do you know how you placed?

Wow... I Hiked the Grand Canyon 17 miles up & down in a day once with a pack back loaded down with food & water to camp. But my load was not near that heavy. That's one hell of a "drill". Great job
