Two words, Road Noise.
My go to for tires are Discount and Robertson’s. I usually pick Discount as they are in almost all the states I travel toGet the price at Costco, then go to Robertson tires (https://www.robertson-tire.com/Coupons) and see if they will price match.
They told me that the tires Michelin makes for Costco are not the same quality as what they sell smaller dealers, they make them so Costco and big volume stores can sell them as cheap as possible. No idea if that's true, but if Robertson doesn't cost more it doesn't much matter.
And the service you get at Robertson's will probably be better than Costco. I've probably had a half dozen flats repaired there, and they've never charged me for them.
I am finally going to change out the tires on my Tundra. Looking for a good all around highway tire, with minimal off road needs.
I was leaning heavily towards the Michelin LTX MS/2, but recently saw good things regarding the Cooper Endeavor Plus. Anybody have experience with the Cooper on a full size truck?
I really like the Michelin LTX on my wife’s AWD Pilot, but the price is OUCH. The Coopers are at a much better price point.
Thanks in advance.
