1 mature buck stopped his routine on October 5th. He will be on my wall full time in a couple weeks. 2 other mature bucks changed up the routine around October 3rd week in October.

Seems a safe bet that between October 18th and the 25th, the bucks changed their patterns, hence showing up on some people's properties where they weren't, no longer in bachelor groups, etc.

We've had two 'strangers' come through over the weekend. One came home with us.

Our main group of bucks is still together, they're feeding calmly and generally being a "herd." Their pattern is moving towards early morning now. We've got photos of the group of 3 grazing under the feeder between 7:00am and 8:30am (before DST ended) and we now have three rubs and one scrape very active in close vicinity to each other. Overall, activity is increasing. It's good to see them during shooting hours. There are several very large does we are watching as well, they'll be mighty tasty.

we're now missing two smaller bucks that were regulars and the largest buck of all has not been seen in three weeks. We are hoping he's still out there, but it doesn't look good at this point.

Several new young bucks have been showing up with the does, they act like teenagers trying to impress the ladies at the freshman dance. The ladies are not impressed.

The racoons in our area are so fat they can barely walk it seems.

That's about the time Dennis's big bug went MIA as well I think. The only mature buck I've got appeared for the first time early Monday morning on the 27th of October.

Went from three small sixes, shot one muzzle loader opener, to no sixes and a big mature 10 or 11, a 3 year old 8 that I could have shot muttle times Saturday, a small young eight and a spike showing up. Just hope the big one will stay safe and walk by on gun season opener. Land owner doesn't allow bow hunting.
