Went hunting this am, but had to get a stump out of the ground to make room for a new shop building. Had a rented hoe to use, and it took 4 hrs to dig the Oak tree out.
It was 22" in diameter.
I figured an hour or two, but it was a nightmare.
Now I'll have to fill it in with wet sand and compact it in the process to make sure there will be no void under the concrete.
The hole was 10'X10'X8 foot deep before it came loose, and could knock it back and forth to finally break the tap root.

Well anytime you pour concrete you have to put sand down first and tamp it. if not you slab will only last a couple years, If you need any help when i comes time to do your floor, let me know, I have poured many a concrete slabs
