Heh, yep. Junior high, and folks these days wouldn't believe how many kids came to school with a black eye (sometimes two) from those things.
IIRC, they weren't glass, but some type of fiberglass resin.
Prior to getting my first bike and Daisy BB gun the toy I remember getting the most was my Mattel Fanner Fifty cap gun......I felt like Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Hopalong Cassidy all rolled into one.
