Nope, 4 cyl. Good engine, changed the oil every 3k with full synthetic. Was an all wheel drive, but pulled the driveshaft when a ujoint went out, and found out you have to buy the entire shaft to fix it.
About 15-20 years ago, Ford showed a Focus with 5.0 Cammer and RWD conversion kits installed at SEMA. The car was mounted on its side so you could see the install (I saw pictures of it, but never got out to Vegas for SEMA). There were rumors that they were going to release both conversion kits, but I don’t think they ever did.I have thought convert to rear drive inline 4 or stick a Ford 302 in it with a carb those are very light and pretty efficient when set up right.
What a nightmare that would be to convert but talk about easy to work on when finished.
